Biographical Note


Andrew Dunn: Director of Consumer Protection

Andrew joined Ofwat in March 2007 and is responsible for strategic development and leadership of Ofwat's consumer protection role. He is responsible for consumer policy including customer service and social issues, customer research, tariffs, disputes and complaints.

He is a chartered civil engineer who has managed all aspects of Yorkshire Water's service during a 30 year career – including roles as Head of Customer Service, leakage manager and leading the Drought Projects Team during the 1995/6 drought.

After leaving Yorkshire Water in 1995, Andrew set up Realisation Consulting Ltd to work on customer service issues both within and outside the water sector.

He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences where he highlights the need to place customers' interests at the centre of organisations' planning and actions.
