What happens if my re-seller has overcharged me?

If necessary, you can recover any amounts you have been overcharged through the civil courts. Whereas previously you were only able to recover the overcharge, the strengthened Water Resale Order now also allows you to recover interest on the overcharge at a rate of twice the average base interest rate of the Bank of England. This will apply for the period during which you have been overcharged.
