My re-seller is charging me a maintenance charge. Can they do this?

Maintenance costs for water or sewerage pipework, for example to fix leaks, are not covered by the Water Resale Order. It doesn't prevent re-sellers from recovering maintenance costs, but neither does it encourage it. Maintenance costs must not be included in the water charges. It is up to your re-seller to decide how best to recover these costs, for example through your pitch fee or by separate agreement.
