Letter sent to named RD 27 November 2003
Dear Sir/Madam
WORKSHOP ON FINAL BUSINESS PLAN SOFTWARE
In Fiona Pethick's letter of 12 November we confirmed the timetable leading up to the release of the information capture system (ICS) and the Aquarius 3 financial model for final business plans. This indicated that we would be holding training sessions on the software immediately after the software is issued. I set out in this letter more information on the workshops.
Content
We will use the workshop to explain the changes that have been made to the ICS, the interface between the ICS and Aquarius 3, and the models within Aquarius 3 since the draft business plan. There will be opportunity for hands-on use of the software and for you to raise questions based on your experience of using the software for draft business plans. We expect the workshop to run from 10.00 am to 4 pm. An outline of the workshop is enclosed.
Audience
The workshop will be targetted at the users of the software. It will focus on the procedures involved for the correct use of the software. We will not be discussing points of policy or price setting methodology.
Venue
We will be running the workshop at our Ofwat offices.
Company attendance
We offer places on the workshop for a maximum of two representatives from each company. Should you wish for two people to attend we would require them to attend the same session and work as a pair for the computer exercises.
Dates
We will be running the workshop on each weekday from Wednesday 21 January to Tuesday 27 January 2004.
Please let me know if you wish to attend the workshop, who will be attending and give your first and second date preferences using the enclosed reply slip. We will try to accommodate your wishes.
If you have any queries please call Lisa Fernandes-Gardner on 0121 625 3604. I look forward to seeing you or up to two of your colleagues in January.
Yours sincerely
DAWN HARRISON
Head Of Financial Modelling
