Peter Bucks: Non-Executive Director
Peter Bucks is Chair of Ofwat's Audit Committee. Since 1997, he has been Senior Financial Advisor at Ofgem (the Office of Gas and Electricity Markets), and from 2000 until his appointment to the Ofwat Board, he was also Corporate Finance Adviser at Ofwat. He is a non executive director at the Office of Rail Regulation, appointed in 2004, and chairs its audit committee. Previously, Peter spent some thirty years in investment banking in London and New York. From 1987 to 1998, he was a Director of Hill Samuel Bank, providing corporate finance advice to a wide variety of clients, including close involvement in the UK privatisation programme. He was also a non-executive director of the British Marine Mutual group of insurance companies prior to its acquisition in 2000.
