Ofwat changes the appointment conditions of Sutton and East Surrey Water |
Following consultation, Ofwat has changed the appointment conditions of Sutton and East Surrey Water plc (SES Water). This will maintain the protection of SES's customers, following changes to the company's ownership.
In January 2006 Aqueduct Capital UK Ltd., a company owned by the Deutsche Bank AG group, acquired East Surrey Holdings Group, SES Water's parent company.

1. The Water Services Regulation Authority (Ofwat) is the economic regulator of water and sewerage companies in England and Wales. It exercises its powers in a way that it judges will allow companies to carry out their functions properly, and finance them. Its duties include protecting the interests of consumers, wherever appropriate by promoting effective competition.
