Ofwat appoints new communications supremo |
Ofwat, the economic regulator of the water industry in England and Wales, has appointed a new head of corporate affairs.
Fiona Pethick, who has been with the organisation since it was set up in 1989, was promoted in February.
The post brings with it responsibility for communications across the whole organisation, taking in policy co-ordination, press office, publications and public relations. Ms Pethick was a key player in the recent review of water prices and was highly visible in the media when Ofwat announced its decisions.
Taking up the newly-created post, she has a team of 25 in a merged, and strengthened, division that is expected to bring policy and presentation closer together.
She takes over from Julia Havard who retired from her post as head of external relations in December.
