What is the process for the price review?

We will initiate the 2009 periodic review of price limits by publishing our consultation paper "Setting out how we intend to approach the price review" in October 2007.

Each company will produce a draft business plan setting out its preferred strategy in August 2008. Information on these draft plans will be available on our website.

Companies will submit final business plans to us in April 2009. We will scrutinise these plans and take account of companies' annual information returns ("June returns") for 2008-09 in setting draft price limits in July 2009. We will announce our draft determinations in July 2009 and invite comments and views on these by October 2009. We will take account of views expressed and any new information provided to us before setting final determinations in November 2009.
