Competition Case Manager
Salary c. £30,000 pa

Competition is a high priority for Ofwat, and market entry often brings disputes that need to be handled by Ofwat. We need a skilled person to manage cases brought to us under either the Water Industry Act 1991 (WIA91) or the Competition Act 1998 (CA98). You'll also need to look strategically at European issues that may affect competition in the UK. The Competition Case Manager will work with the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) and other regulators on competition policy issues and support the rest of Competition Team on Ofwat's Market Review of Competition.

The successful applicant will:

• Be a confident, personable and highly skilled communicator
• Have a degree or equivalent in Economics or Law or another relevant discipline
• Be able to explain complex issues simply
• Be expert in analysis and decision making ideally gained in a commercial, regulatory or utility environment
• Ability to work on policy development
