If protection was already in place why were new rules introduced on 31 March 2006?
We were concerned that some residents were unable to find out how their bills had been calculated and asked Government to give us new powers to address this. The rules relating to how charges should be calculated have not changed. We have simply strengthened the Order in places which we believe will provide an additional level of protection for residents in resale situations.
