Water Supply Licensing
WSL 15/05 3 November 2005 WATER SUPPLY LICENSING (WSL) CUSTOMER TRANSFER PROTOCOL I enclose our customer transfer protocol (CTP) and the summary of responses to our October 2004 consultation. These documents take into account consultation responses, discussions with our technical advisory group and recommendations provided by our CTP sub-group. In September 2005, we also circulated the draft CTP to stakeholders twice for comment in order for stakeholders to familiarise themselves with the CTP ahead of our workshop on 23 September 2005. Discussions at the CTP workshop and all comments received from stakeholders have been taken into account. The CTP provides a clear, simple and standardised process for the timely and efficient transfer of customers between suppliers. All appointed water companies on which we formally serve the CTP and water supply licensees are required to comply with the CTP under condition of appointment S and standard licence condition 6 respectively. We will formally serve the attached CTP on appointed water companies before 1 December 2005 and on water supply licensees when we grant them their licence.
